Problem Check Remedy
Is [Control] set to [On] on the
connected device? Set [Control] to [On] on the connected device. The Control with HDMI
function operates when [Control] is set to [On] for all devices connected
to the
HDMI OUT
terminal.
Once connections and settings of all the devices are finished, be sure
to check that the unit’s picture is output to the TV. (Also, check after
changing the connected devices and connecting and/or disconnecting
HDMI cables.) If the unit’s picture is not being output to the TV, the
Control with HDMI function may not work properly.
For details, refer to the operating instructions of the connected device.
Sound of the TV
connected via HDMI
cannot be heard with the
unit.
y
When the TV is compatible with audio return channel (ARC): On
the unit, set [Control] to [On] and then set [TV input] to [TV(ARC)] to
switch the TV input (page 48).Check that the ARC setting on the TV
is on.
y When the TV is not compatible with audio return channel (ARC): The
sound of the TV cannot be listened to via HDMI.
Set [TV Input] to [Optical IN-1] and connect a separate optical digital
audio cable (page 20).
Network
Problem Check Remedy
Software updating is slow. Depending on the Internet connection and other conditions, some time
may be required to update the software.
Cannot connect to the
network.

Insert the LAN cable firmly all the way in. (page 21)

Do not connect with a modular cable.
Use a LAN cable with the LAN (10/100) terminal.
y Check whether the power of the Ethernet hub (router with hub
function) or modem is on.
y Check whether the Ethernet hub (router with hub function) or modem
is connected properly.
y Check the network settings.
A message other than
“Networks is OK.”
is displayed when
[Connection Test] is
performed. Is “Network is FAILED.”
displayed? y Check that this unit and the Ethernet hub (or router with a hub
functionality) are properly connected.
y If the IP address is obtained using the DHCP server function, check
the setting is correct at the [Information] (page 48). For details
on the DHCP server function, see the operating instructions for the
Ethernet hub (or router with a hub functionality).

Set the IP address manually.

Check the operation and settings of the DHCP server function of the
Ethernet hub (or router with hub functionality). For details on the
DHCP server function, see the operating instructions for the Ethernet
hub (or router with a hub functionality).
y If this unit has been set manually, reset the IP address of this unit or
other components.
Is the Ethernet hub (or router
with a hub functionality)
operating properly? y Check the settings and operation the Ethernet hub (or router with a
hub functionality). For details, see the operating instructions for the
Ethernet hub.
y
Reboot the Ethernet hub (or router with a hub functionality).
Cannot access to the
component or computer
connected via network. Is Internet security software
currently installed in the
connected component? There are cases where a component with Internet security software
installed cannot be accessed.
Did you turn on the power of
the device on the network while
the unit (network AV Speaker
Bar) was in a powered on
state? Switch on the audio component on the network before switching on
this unit.
Is the component connected to
the network properly set? If the client is automatically authorized, you need to enter the
corresponding information again. Check whether the connection status
is set to “Do not authorize”.
Playback does not start. Is the power of the connected
component off or the
connection disconnected? Check whether the component is properly connected to this unit or the
power supply.
The computer is not
properly operated. Is the corresponding IP address
properly set? Switch on the built-in DHCP server function of your router, or set up the
network manually according to your network environment.
