CLEANING — The pr oduct should be cleaned only
with a p olishing cloth o r a soft d r y cloth. Neve r
clean with fu r nitu r e wax, benzine, insecticides

the cabinet.
ATTACHMENTS — Do not use attachments not

WATER AND MOISTURE — Do not use this
pr oduct nea r wate r — fo r exam p le, nea r a
bathtub, wash bowl, kitchen sink, o r laund r y
tub; in a wet basement; o r nea r a swimming
p ool; and the like.
ACCESSORIES — Do not p lace this pr oduct on an
unstable ca r t, stand, t r i p od, b r acket, o r table.
The pr oduct may fall, causing se r ious inju r y to a
child o r adult, and se r ious damage to the
pr oduct. Use only with a ca r t, stand, t r i p od,

mounting of the pr oduct should follow the

CART — A pr oduct and ca r t combination should be
moved with ca r e. Quick sto p s, excessive fo r ce,
and uneven su r faces may cause the pr oduct

VENTILATION
— Slots and o p enings in the cabinet
a r e pr ovided fo r ventilation and to ensu r e
r eliable o p e r ation of the pr oduct and to pr otect
it f r om ove r heating, and these o p enings must
not be blocked o r cove r ed. The o p enings should
neve r be blocked by p lacing the pr oduct on a
bed, sofa, r ug, o r othe r simila r su r face. This
pr oduct should not be p laced in a built-in
installation such as a bookcase o r r ack unless
pr o p e r ventilation is pr ovided o r the
manufactu r e r ’s inst r uctions have been adhe r ed
to.
POWER SOURCES — This pr oduct should be
o p e r ated only f r om the ty p e of p owe r sou r ce
indicated on the ma r king label. If you a r e not
su r e of the ty p e of p owe r su pp ly to you r home,
consult you r pr oduct deale r o r local p owe r
com p any.
LOCATION – The a pp liance should be installed in a
stable location.
NONUSE PERIODS – The p owe r co r d of the
a pp liance should be un p lugged f r om the outlet
when left un-used fo r a long p e r iod of time.
GROUNDING OR POLARIZATION
• If this pr oduct is equi pp ed with a p ola r ized
alte r nating cu rr ent line p lug (a p lug having one
blade wide r than the othe r ), it will fit into the
outlet only one way. This is a safety featu r e. If
you a r e unable to inse r t the p lug fully into the
outlet, t r y r eve r sing the p lug. If the p lug should
still fail to fit, contact you r elect r ician to r e p lace
you r obsolete outlet. Do not defeat the safety
p u rp ose of the p ola r ized p lug.
• If this pr oduct is equi pp ed with a th r ee-wi r e
g r ounding ty p e p lug, a p lug having a thi r d
(g r ounding) p in, it will only fit into a g r ounding
ty p e p owe r outlet. This is a safety featu r e. If you

POWER-CORD PROTECTION — Powe r -su pp ly
co r ds should be r outed so that they a r e not likely
to be walked on o r p inched by items p laced
u p on o r against them, p aying p a r ticula r
attention to co r ds at p lugs, convenience
r ece p tacles, and the p oint whe r e they exit f r om
the pr oduct.
OUTDOOR ANTENNA GROUNDING — If an
outside antenna o r cable system is connected to
the pr oduct, be su r e the antenna o r cable
system is g r ounded so as to pr ovide some
pr otection against voltage su r ges and built-u p
static cha r ges. A r ticle 810 of the National
Elect r ical Code, ANSI/NFPA 70, pr ovides
info r mation with r ega r d to pr o p e r g r ounding of
the mast and su pp o r ting st r uctu r e, g r ounding of
the lead-in wi r e to an antenna discha r ge unit,
size of g r ounding conducto r s, location of
antenna-discha r ge unit, connection to
g r ounding elect r odes, and r equi r ements fo r the
g r ounding elect r ode. See Figu r e A.
LIGHTNING — Fo r added pr otection fo r this
pr oduct du r ing a lightning sto r m, o r when it is
left unattended and unused fo r long p e r iods of
time, un p lug it f r om the wall outlet and
disconnect the antenna o r cable system. This
will pr event damage to the pr oduct due to
lightning and p owe r -line su r ges.
POWER LINES — An outside antenna system
should not be located in the vicinity of ove r head
p owe r lines o r othe r elect r ic light o r p owe r
ci r cuits, o r whe r e it can fall into such p owe r
lines o r ci r cuits. When installing an outside
antenna system, ext r eme ca r e should be taken
to kee p f r om touching such p owe r lines o r
ci r cuits as contact with them might be fatal.
OVERLOADING — Do not ove r load wall outlets,
extension co r ds, o r integ r al convenience
r ece p tacles as this can r esult in a r isk of fi r e o r
elect r ic shock.
OBJECT AND LIQUID ENTRY
— Neve r p ush
objects of any kind into this pr oduct th r ough
o p enings as they may touch dange r ous voltage
p oints o r sho r t-out p a r ts that could r esult in a

DAMAGE REQUIRING SERVICE — Un p lug this

to qualified se r vice p e r sonnel unde r the
following conditions:
• When the p owe r -su pp ly co r d o r p lug is
damaged.
• If liquid has been s p illed, o r objects have fallen
into the pr oduct.
• If the pr oduct has been ex p osed to r ain o r wate r .
• If the pr oduct does not o p e r ate no r mally by
following the o p e r ating inst r uctions. Adjust only
those cont r ols that a r e cove r ed by the o p e r ating
inst r uctions as an im pr o p e r adjustment of othe r
cont r ols may r esult in damage and will often
r equi r e extensive wo r k by a qualified technician
to r esto r e the pr oduct to its no r mal o p e r ation.
• If the pr oduct has been d r o pp ed o r damaged in
any way.
• When the pr oduct exhibits a distinct change in
p e r fo r mance — this indicates a need fo r se r vice.
REPLACEMENT PARTS — When r e p lacement p a r ts
a r e r equi r ed, be su r e the se r vice technician has
used r e p lacement p a r ts s p ecified by the
manufactu r e r o r have the same cha r acte r istics
as the o r iginal p a r t. Unautho r ized substitutions
may r esult in fi r e, elect r ic shock, o r othe r
haza r ds.
SAFETY CHECK — U p on com p letion of any se r vice
o r r e p ai r s to this pr oduct, ask the se r vice
technician to p e r fo r m safety checks to
dete r mine that the pr oduct is in pr o p e r
o p e r ating condition.
WALL OR CEILING MOUNTING — The pr oduct
should not be mounted to a wall o r ceiling.
