Connection
This is a hot- p lug unit. Connect the unit to the su pp lied USB cable.
1 Confirm that your computer (PC) has available USB ports.
2 With your Windows® or Mac® operating system running, use the supplied USB cable to connect
this unit to the PC.
Caution
• Do not disconnect the USB cable du r ing data t r ansfe r s.
• Do not disconnect the USB cable du r ing the PC sta r t no r any o p e r ation with the unit.
Note
• Connection to a USB 3.0 p o r t is r ecommended, since when a USB 3.0 cable is connected to a USB
2.0 p o r t, the connection will be limited to USB 2.0 p e r fo r mance standa r ds.
• When connecting the unit to a USB 2.0 p o r t, the USB 2.0 high-s p eed d r ive r should be installed.
• This unit can o p e r ate with USB 1.1 but will not pr ovide o p timum p e r fo r mance.
• Connecting this unit th r ough a USB HUB o r using uns p ecified cables may not gua r antee pr o p e r
o p e r ation.
• This pr oduct satisfies elect r omagnetic noise r egulations when it is connected to othe r equi p ment
th r ough shielded cables and connecto r s.
