Vacuuming
1. Make sure tank lid is closed, all hoses are properly connected, and hose plug is inserted in the dump
hose.
2. Lower the squeegee by pushing slightly down and forward on the foot pedal and allowing it to rise slowly.
3. Turn on the vacuum motor switch.
4. Walk forward slowly, allowing the machine to vacuum up the solution on the floor.
NOTE: The machine is intended to operate only with the squeegee moving forward.
5. To prolong squeegee life, raise the squeegee by pushing the foot pedal down and slightly back to lock in
place when pulling the machine backwards.
CAUTION: Floors will be very slippery when wet, especially when wet with stripping solution!
Stopping
1. Stop the machine’s movement for approximately two seconds.
2. Raise the squeegee by pushing the foot pedal down and slightly back to lock in place.
3. Turn off the vacuum motor.
Draining
1. Place the StripVac in an appropriate area for draining.
2. Remove the dump hose from the spring hose clip at the rear of the machine.
3. Unplug hose plug from dump hose and lower to drain.
Adjusting Squeegee Angle
1. The squeegee angle may be adjusted by turning the adjustment knob until the desired angle is obtained.
Using Optional Squeegee Attachment
1. Disconnect the suction hose from the elbow on the front of the tank.
2. Connect the optional vacuum wand to the elbow on the front of the tank.
3. Turn on the vacuum motor.
4. Push or pull the optional vacuum wand to vacuum fluids in hard to reach areas.
5. When finished, turn off the vacuum motor and reconnect the suction hose.
