MMG Installation, Setup, and Operations Guide

Setting up Blue Codecs

The following section describes how to set up various codecs and formats in blue. The description
includes configurations needed during the XSend workflow. For more information on the XSend
workflow, see

Using XSend

on page 58.

To setup a codec, go to Edit menu > Control Panel and select Site Tab.

Double click Codec Presets.

Figure 3-31: Select Codec Presets

At this point the configuration differs for the possible codec’s you can setup for the use with the
MMG 2.5 suite. We currently support:

•

Preset 1: SD PS 420 IBBP

•

Preset 2: SD PS s422 IBBP and SD PS e422 IBBP

•

Preset 3: SD MXF s422 I-Frame only and SD MXF e422 I-Frame only

•

Preset 4: HD 420 IBBP (includes 1088i@25, 1088i@30 and 720p@60)

•

Preset 5: HD 422 IBBP (includes 1088i@25, 1088i@30 and 720p@60)
