This appliance must be used only for the purpose for which it was designed
(see DESCRIPTION). All other uses are considered improper and therefore dan-
gerous. The manufacturer cannot be held responsible for any damage resulting
from improper, incorrect or unreasonable use.
Use of this appliance on animals is strictly prohibited.
Before carrying out any cleaning or maintenance, disconnect the plug from the
mains power supply. Do not use cloths soaked in detergent to clean the applian-
ce, in order to prevent entry of such liquids into the interior of the appliance.
Use of a buckskin cloth soaked in water is recommended for cleaning.
Do not use cloths soaked in denatured alcohol.
When this appliance is no longer required for use it is recommended that the
following steps be taken to render it inoperative:
• unplug it from the mains supply
• cut the power lead.
After rendering it inoperative do not release the appliance or the plug into the
environment.
It is dangerous to stretch the power lead while in use. Do not leave the appliance
plugged in when not in use.
To avoid danger of overheating, uncoil the power lead to its full length. Do not
obstruct air vents.
Should the power lead become damaged, replace it immediately with a lead of
equivalent specification.
Further protection can be provided by installing a differential current circuit
breaker with a nominal current rating not greater than 30mA. Consult your
electrician for details.
Use of the appliance for drying towels, napkins etc. is strictly prohibited as this
prevents proper ventilation through the air vents.
