SAFETY
INSTRUCTIONS
1. Do not use the unit if it is damp or if your
hands are wet.
2. WARNING: Polyethylene bags containing
this product or its packaging can be
dangerous. To avoid the risk of suffocation,
keep these bags out of the reach of babies
and children. A polyethylene bag is not a
plaything.
3. Do not use this appliance near
bathtubs, showers, basins or
other vessels containing water.
4. If the appliance is used in a bathroom,
unplug it after use. Leaving the appliance
near a source of water may be dangerous,
even if the appliance is off. For additional
protection, the installation of a residual
current device (RCD) having a rated
residual operating current not exceeding
30 mA is advisable in the electrical
circuit supplying the bathroom. Ask your
electrician for advice.
5. Do not immerse the appliance in water or
any other liquid.
6. Stop using the appliance immediately if the
cord is damaged. The power supply cord
should not be replaced by the end user. The
power supply cord should only be replaced
by the manufacturer’s authorized importer
(or, in the United States and Canada, by an
authorized Service Center).
USER
MAINTENANCE
Your iron is virtually maintenance free. No
lubrication is needed. Keep all vents and
openings clear of dirt and dust. If cleaning
becomes necessary, disconnect the unit
from the power source, allow to cool and
wipe exterior with a cloth. If any abnormal
condition occurs, unplug the unit, allow it to
cool, and return it for repair to an authorized
service representative only. No repairs
should be attempted by the consumer.
CAUTION
NEVER allow the power supply cord to be
pulled or twisted. Never wrap the cord
around the unit. Damage will occur at the
high flex point of entry into the unit, causing
it to rupture and short-circuit. Inspect
the cord frequently for damage. Stop use
immediately if damage is visible or if unit
stops or operates intermittently.
STORAGE
When not in use, your appliance is easy to
store. Allow unit to cool, then simply put
back in the box and store out of reach of
children in a safe, dry location. Do not jerk
or strain cord at plug connections.
Everyone knows that electricity and water
are a dangerous combination, but did you
know that an electrical appliance is still
electrically live even if the switch is off? If
the plug is in, the power is on. So when you
are not using your appliances, keep them
unplugged.
ALWAYS UNPLUG
SMALL APPLIANCES.

STRAIGHTENING BASICS
1. Plug the iron into a standard electrical outlet (125V).
2. Slide the temperature switch to the desired setting (use the chart as a reference). The
corresponding LED light will light up/blink. Note: The indicator light will stop blinking when the
unit reaches the selected temperature. The iron will heat up very quickly. It is not necessary to
touch the plates to judge readiness.

3. Section dry hair evenly, and comb each section. Position the iron on hair as far up as you want
hair to be straightened, being careful not to let the iron touch the scalp. Close the iron with
the hair between the two plates and gently pull the iron down to the end of the section of hair
you are straightening. Repeat this process several times if necessary. Allow hair to cool before
combing.
4. Turn off and unplug the appliance.
5. Allow to cool before storing.
STYLING COMB/HOT BRUSH
1. Close the iron, lock-in on the cool-tip and handle ends.
2. To smooth out hair, rotate backward toward you and slide down hair section. Best for short to
medium length hair. To style hair ends, bend or flip. To create volume, lift at roots. To create
looser waves, wrap around brush, hold for a few seconds, then unwind.

SOL-GEL TECHNOLOGY
The Sol-Gel technique is a delicate, precisely
controlled lab process that transforms
nanoscale particles of titanium and ceramic
from a liquid (SOL) to a solid (GEL) form,
resulting in a much higher concentration
of titanium and ceramic (more than 65%,
vs. less than 15% on conventional barrel
coatings). The titanium ceramic coating is
37% harder (longer lasting and chip resistant),
less porous (chemically resistant) and 22%
smoother (reduces friction and helps preserve
the integrity of the hair).
