Congratulations on having purchased a PIEPS iPROBE ONE. The
PIEPS iPROBE ONE is an electronic probe (digital technique) with an
automatic deactivating function and an optical and acoustic target
indicator for every standard transceiver EN300718.
The PIEPS iPROBE ONE is designed to determine the position of a
buried victim. Together with the beacon and the avalanche shovel
it belongs to the recommended standard avalanche safety gear of
backcountry skiers, freeriders or mountain rescuers!
IMpORTANT!
A close study of avalanche prevention techniques is
equally essential as is regular practicing for the event of an avalanche
rescue.

SWITCHING ON I SELFCHECK
Press the ON/OFF button 3 times within 2 seconds for simple and
clear activation of the PIEPS iPROBE ONE.
During power-on the PIEPS iPROBE ONE will carry out a self-check
where the battery, antenna and electronic are tested. Both LED-indi-
cation lights will show and a permanent acoustic signal (piiiiiiiiiiiep)
is emitted for one second.

Check the battery
(polarity and voltage) and
replace it if required.
IMpORTANT! During an extended period of non-use the battery has
to be taken out of the PIEPS iPROBE ONE. Damages because of leaked
batteries are not included in the warranty.
SWITCHING OFF
Press the ON/OFF button 3 times within 2 seconds for switching off
the PIEPS iPROBE ONE. An acoustic signal is emitted (prrrrie).
