ontrol unit “Pichler handheld terminal”
The Pichler handheld terminal is an operating and programming unit for local control of
a ventilation system with Pichler Air2 automatic control. The handheld terminal is
fitted directly on the front of the unit.
5.3.1 Display & operation
The Pichler handheld terminal has a large display with highlighted background. Simple to operate with the
rotary push-down button. The Pichler handheld terminal controls the ventilation system via graphics. All
actual temperatures, settings, operating times and alarms are displayed.
All the menus and graphic displays are adapted to suit the specific system and user and contain only
relevant information, thereby reducing the risk of incorrect operation.
System alarms have top priority and will flash red to alert the user. The alarm image will always be displayed
at the top.
Authorisation levels:
Since the system operator can configure up to three authorisation levels for control,
only authorised staff will have system access:
Technician Access will require a password (for specialist installers only)
Service
User
Access will require a password (for specialist installers only)
Access without password
Installation parameters may be adjusted and set in the
“Technician” menu
. Values such as min.
and max. air volumes, min. and max. supply air temperatures and control program and functions
relating to fire alarm may be set. Communication parameters and language may also be set in the
“Technician” menu.
Fan control, delay of ventilation startup, filter alarm set-point and filter dimensions, heating and cooling
battery control and pressure transducer calibrations may be overridden in the
“Service” menu
.
Various settings are possible on the
“User”
level. The following functions are available: FAN OPERATION –
EXTENDED OPERATION – TEMPERATURE – TIME AND DATE – ALARM LOG – CONTROLLER
Navigation is via the rotary push-down button and is described in detail in the chapter below.

Turning the rotary push-down button:
Turning once will switch submenus
Pressing the button down:
Pressing the push-button takes you one level down in
the selected menu.
ESC key:
Pressing the ESC key takes you back to the previous menu.
