Some of the above problems could be resolved by following the instructions. Only qualified persons must carry out work on the

stove and only when it is cold and disconnected from the power supply (pull out the plug).

Unauthorised tampering with the appliance or use of other than original spare parts invalidates the warranty and relieves the

manufacturer of all and any liability.

The manufacturer shall not be liable for any problems caused by lack of or inefficient maintenance or by failure to comply with the

instructions in the product installation and operating guide.

Problem

Cause

Remedy

The window becomes

excessively dirty

Lack of draught

Open the smoke damper.

Check the smoke/gas discharge pipe

Wet wood

Use dry wood

Use of mediocre or poor class fuels

Change the type of fuel

(See “

FUEL

” paragraph)

Too little combustion air

Open the air dampers more, if

installed

Condensation forms

Section of flue too large

Reduce the section by inserting a well

insulated pipe with suitable section

inside the flue

Flue not adequately insulated

Clad the flue with hollow tiles or

other insulating materials

Slow combustion and therefore low

smoke temperature

Burn smaller and dry logs.

Open the primary air damper more, if

installed

Smoke comes out of the firebox in ad-

verse weather conditions

Chimney stack has no down-draught

cowl

Replace the chimney stack with one

that has a down-draught cowl

Flue not suitably insulated

Clad the flue with hollow tiles or

other insulating materials

Difficulty in lighting

Air or smoke dumper closed

Put the combustion air dampers, if

installed, to maximum position and

fully open the smoke damper

Logs too large

Use smaller logs

Wood too wet

Burn drier wood

Lack of draught

Open the smoke damper.

Check the smoke/gas discharge pipe
