FASTCAM MC1 Hardware Manual

Setting the Slave Camera Controller (Synchronization Signal Receiving Controller)

Next, set the synchronization signal input of the slave camera controller which will receive the

synchronization signal supplied by the master camera controller.

1. Input the slave camera controller’s synchronization to the master camera controller.

Connect the master camera controller’s

GENERAL OUT

connector and the slave camera

controller’s

SYNC IN

connector using a BNC cable.

When the synchronization signal is input to the

SYNC IN

connector, the

SYNC IN LED

(yellow) on the front of the slave camera controller will light.

2. Set the synchronization signal type that slave camera controller will receive. Press the

MENU

key on the keypad and the menu list will display.

3. Select the

SYNC IN

from the

SYNC IN/OUT

submenu with the

ARROW

keys.

4. The output previously set on the master camera controller has positive polarity (POSITIVE),

therefore it is necessary to make the setting on the slave camera controller the same,

positive polarity (POSITIVE). Move the cursor to the

SYNC POS

item with the

ARROW

↑

↓

keys, and press the

ENTER

key to select.

If steps 2-4 are completed when no synchronization signal is being input, the display shows “

SYNC INPUT

”.
