The  PR-680/680L  firmware  can  be  updated  effortlessly  in  the  field.    Simply  insert  the  SD  card  with  the  latest 
firmware revision and instruct the instrument to update.   

Note : Calibration and Illuminant factors 

DO NOT

 have to be reloaded after a firmware update.

Connect the USB card reader to the PC.

Copy the file 

PR6XXHW.HEX 

supplied by Photo Research on to the SD card. 

3.

 

Connect AC power to the PR-680/680L, or make sure a fully charged battery is used to prevent an 
interruption in power during the restore process. 

4.

 

Insert the SD card into the PR-680/680L. 

5.
