Connect the PLUG-IN CHARGER PB 4.5 to the ACCU (as shown in Figure 17).

Plug the PLUG-IN CHARGER PB 4.5 into the outlet. The charge level of the ACCU is indicated
by the LED on the PLUG-IN CHARGER PB 4.5 as follows:
- LED is flashing green: the ACCU is charging,
- LED is steady green: the ACCU is fully charged.

When the LED on the PLUG-IN CHARGER PB 4.5 is steady green,
- pull the PLUG-IN CHARGER PB 4.5 out of the outlet and
- unplug the PLUG-IN CHARGER PB 4.5 cable from the ACCU.

The ACCU should not be used for at least 1 hour before changing the battery. Push the ACCU
onto the mounting rail (as described in section
7.3).

Pull gently on the lead battery to make sure that the ACCU is properly seated on the mounting
rail.

Allow the ACCU to rest for about 1 hour after charging it; this will prolong its lifespan.
