3.3.2 Charging
The indicator lights flash blue during
charging.
3.3.3 Battery fully charged
When the batteries are fully charged, all
indicator lights light up blue continuously.
3.3.4 Battery low
When the batteries are low, the bottom
indicator light flashes blue.
3.3.5 Error mode
If you press the safety switch downwards longer
than 2 seconds, the indicator lights start to flash
red to indicate that the error mode is activated.
This may happen when you try to switch on
the appliance and when you want to check the
battery capacity after use. If this happens when
you try to switch on the appliance, simply repeat
the switching-on procedure (see chapter ‘Using
your hand blender’). If this happens when you
want to check the remaining battery capacity,
simply release the safety switch and press it
downwards again.
3.4 Prepare the food
1
Let hot ingredients cool down before you
chop them or pour them into the beaker
(max. temperature 80°C).
2
Cut large ingredients into pieces of 2cm
before you process them.

Note:
The adapter feels warm during charging. This
is normal.
When you charge the appliance for the
first time or after a long period of disuse,
let it charge until all three indicator lights
light up blue continuously.
Charge the appliance for at least 15
minutes to use it for a light blending job
(soup, puree).
When the appliance is fully charged, it
has a cordless operating time of up to 20
minutes.
4
Keep the charger plugged in continuously
and store the appliance on the charger.
3.3 Indicator lights
3.3.1 Remaining battery capacity
The indicator lights show the battery
capacity when the appliance is switched on.
The number of indicator lights that light up
blue indicate the amount of power left in the
batteries.
If you want to check the remaining battery
capacity when the appliance is switched
off, slide the safety switch downwards and
then release it.
D
Note:
If you keep the safety switch pressed
downwards longer than 2 seconds, the
indicator lights start to flash red (see section
‘Error mode’ in this chapter).
