Component video output connectors
(EXT 4 / EXT 5)
When you have a digital device with a 480p, 576p or 1080i
output (e.g. a digital Set Top Box, a video game console or a
Progressive scan DVD player), connect it to the
EXT 4
or
EXT 5
video 2Fh input.
& Connect the device with 2Fh Y Pb Pr output to the Y Pb Pr
connectors and to the L and R audio connectors of
EXT 4
or
EXT 5

Make a selection in the Setup, Source menu, p. 10.This TV is
then switched to the
EXT 4
or
EXT 5
input source for the
viewing of programmes from the connected equipment.
Note: This television is designed to accept high definition signal
standards 1080i, 480p and 576p as specified by the Electronic
Industries Association standard EIA770.3. Digital devices from different
manufacturers have the possibility of differing output standards which
may cause difficulties for the television to properly display.
Warning : In case you notice scrolling images, wrong colours or no
colour, no picture, or even combinations of these on your screen, check
if the connections are done in the correct way or move your digital
device further away from your TV.
Note:
EXT 4
and
EXT 5
allow horizontal and vertical picture panning
using the cursor left/right, up/down.

Connecting your computer
(EXT 6 - RGB+HV)
& Connect one end of a VGA cable 1 to the video card of the
computer and the other end to the
RGB+HV
connector
(EXT 6)
at the back of the TV. Fix the connectors firmly with
the screws on the plug.

In case of a multimedia computer, connect the audio cable

to the audio output of your computer and to the corresponding
EXT 6
audio L and R connectors at the back of the TV.
The
RGB+HV
connector allows the following TV and monitor
display modes:

VGA 640 x 480 60 Hz
640 x 400 70, 85 Hz
640 x 350 70 Hz
720 x 350 70 Hz
SVGA 800 x 600 60 Hz
XGA 1024 x 768 60 Hz
SXGA 1280 x 1024 60 Hz
Note: If possible use the XGA 1024 x 768 @ 60 Hz video mode to
obtain the best image quality.
