4. Midspan Monitoring and Control with MIB Browser --- SNMP Protocol
Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) is used mostly in network management systems to
monitor network-attached devices for conditions. Please search related internet website for more details of
SNMP protocol.
User can monitor and control Phihong Midspan under SNMPv2c protocol. There are
many SNMP console available. And for SNMP operation, there will be a little difference between
different SNMP consoles. Here, we will give the Structure of Management Information (SMI) of Phihong
Midspan; a table of SNMP MIB shown the OID, Name, Type, Value, Description; the special concerns of
using this MIB; finally a usage under MG-SOFT MIB browser will be given for user reference.
