Extending

Not all tyre manufacturers conform to ETRTO (European
Tyre and Rim Technical Organisation). Therefore it may
be necessary to use the enclosed extension parts on new
tyres and some tyre models.

Fit the extension parts in to the chain using the connecting
locks. Drive the securing pin fully in to the connecting lock
using a hammer.

Correct tensioning

Generally, the correct tensioning of pewag forestry chains
depends on the consistence of the ground the chain is used
on; the looser the ground the looser the chain should be
tensioned. To ensure the right tensioning of pewag forestry
chains the tensioning has to be checked once a week and
when indicated the tensioning has to be corrected.
