pEt fOUntAIn: Clean once a week.
1. Unplug the Pet Fountain, remove Housing Lid and
remove the Charcoal Filter.
2. Remove the Reservoir.
3. Empty the water out of the Pet Fountain.
4. Remove the Pre-Filter by gently pulling up on the top lip
of the Pre-Filter and wash with soap and water (
fig. 7
).
5. Remove the Housing by gently pushing in on either side of the Pet Fountain where
the curve meets the seam. Gently lift up (
fig. 8-10
).
NOTE: You will notice the right side of the Housing will offer some resistance as the
water Intake Tube pulls away from the Pump.
6. Next, remove the Pump by disconnecting the Inline Plug (
fig. 11 & 12
), then lift
it out of the Pet Fountain. Clean away any hair, debris or kibble that may have
accumulated around the Flow Control Knob and the Faceplate of the Pump.
7. Once the Pet Fountain is completely disassembled you will have 6 plastic parts.
8. Clean the Pet Fountain parts with warm water and soap. You can also put the Pet
Fountain in the dishwasher (not the Pump). Remove the Pump before placing in the
dishwasher. It is recommended that you turn down the heat of the dishwasher
if possible.
9. If you have troubles reaching certain spots or hard-to-reach corners, try using a
cotton swab or purchase the Drinkwell
®
Cleaning Kit, a 3-Brush Kit.
