Calcification indicator
Your machine features an automatic cal-
cification indicator. Depending on coffee
consumption, you will be reminded to
decalcify after 4 to 10 weeks when the
calcification indicator (
14)
illuminates.
You can then brew coffee and prepare
hot water. If, however, you would like
to prepare milk froth, cappuccino, latte
macchiato or café au lait, the steam
indicator (
13 ) blinks along with the
calcification indicator to notify the user
that it is only possible to reactivate the
steamer after calcification.
To avoid excessive calcification, the ma-
chine has been preset to very hard water
ex works. Inquire about the water hard-
ness of your tap water with the respon-
sible waterworks or local administration.
Change the setting if the water hardness
is less than 21°dH. This way, you will not
be reminded to decalcify that often.
