How to stop the engine
1.
Adjust the engine speed control to the minimum
speed position. Ensure that the control lever for
the reverse gearbox is in the neutral position. If
the engine has operated at high load for a long
period of time, allow the engine to cool for one to
two minutes.
2.
Hold the stop switch in until the engine stops.
Release the stop switch.
Adjustment of the engine speed range
The idle or maximum speed settings cannot be
changed by the engine operator, because this can
damage the engine or the transmission and is set at
the factory.
Caution:
Any speed adjustments must be carried out
by an authorised dealer.
Operational angles
These engines are intended to be mounted so that
the cylinders are vertical, when viewed from ahead or
astern. The operational angles that are permissible in
service are 20
O
nose up, heel 25
O
constant and 35
O
intermittent.
