54 . RamanStation 400 Series Getting Started Guide

Installation Procedure

NOTE: It is important to note that you must be logged on at Administrator level on Windows

before installing the software.

The Installation Wizard helps you install the software on your PC.

Place your

Spectrum Software CD

into your CD drive.

The Spectrum software must be version 6.2 or later.

If the installation program does not start automatically, from the Start Menu select

Run

The Run dialog is displayed.

Enter

d:\Setup.exe

and then click

Replace d:\ with the drive letter for your CD.
The InstallShield Wizard dialog appears while the system is preparing to install the

software.
When the installer is ready, the Welcome dialog is displayed.

If your PC does not meet the software requirements given in

Software Requirements

starting on page 39, an appropriate error message will inform you of the problem. You

will need to correct this problem before the installation can be performed.
