Collecting Spectra with the Microscope

Collecting the Spectrum of the Sample

Before you can collect the sample spectrum, you must once again center the

sample in the field visually. The following instructions describe how to center the

sample and collect its spectrum.

Return the sample to the center of the field. Do not change the size of the

aperture.

Switch the View/IR knob to IR.

Use the SCAN command of the FT-IR to collect the spectrum of the sample.
