Registration Server Setup.
One Peribit device must be designated as the Registration Server.
•
Do not designate this device as the registration server (except in test environments).
•
Enter the IP address of the current (or future) registration server, and then enter the registration server password in
the appropriate field. The registration server password authenticates the Peribit devices in a community, and should be
different from the administrator password.
•
If you have not yet configured the registration server, enter the IP address and password of the Peribit device that will be
the registration server. The Sequence Reducer will not process data until a registration server is configured.
•
You can also delay the formation of reduction tunnels to other Peribit devices in the community. If you select this option,
the Sequence Reducer will not reduce or assemble data from other Peribit devices until you enable reduction tunnel
formation in the Endpoints page of the SRS Web console.

Set the Time.
•
The time settings page displays the local time of the Sequence Reducer. If the time settings are not correct, enter
the current time, date, and local time zone for the Sequence Reducer. If applicable, select the
Daylight Savings
checkbox.
NOTE:
If your network uses an NTP server for device time settings, you can configure the Sequence Reducer to use the
NTP server after completing the Quick Setup. For more information, refer to the Operator’s Guide.

➎
Specify Topology.
The topology setting ensures that device resources are used efficiently to reduce and assemble data.
•
Choose the topology setting that best describes the Sequence Reducer’s relationship to the other Peribit devices in the
community (Hub, Spoke, or Mesh).
