ELECTRICAL SAfETY
Grounding instruction: In the event of a malfunction or breakdown, grounding
provides a path of least resistance for electric current that reduces the risk
of electric shock. This tool is equipped with an electric cord that has an
equipment-grounding conductor and a grounding plug. The plug must be
plugged into a matching outlet that is properly installed and grounded, in
accordance with all local codes and ordinances.
Do not modify the plug provided. If it will not fit
the outlet, have a proper outlet installed by a
qualified electrician.
Use only 3-wired extension cords that have
3-pronged grounding plugs and 3-holed
receptacles that accept the tool’s plug.
Permanently connected tools: This tool should
be connected to a grounded metal permanent
wiring system or to a system that has an
equipment-grounding conductor.
SAfETY PRECAUTIONS fOR LASERS
This miter saw has a built-in laser
light. The laser is a Class IIla and emits
output power of a maximum 2.5mW and
650nm wavelengths. These lasers do
not normally present an optical hazard.
However,
DO NOT
stare at the beam as
this can cause flash blindness.
CAUTION: The following label is on your tool. It indicates where the saw
emits the laser light. BE AWARE of the laser light location when using. AL-
WAYS MAKE SURE that any bystanders in the vicinity of use are made aware
of the dangers of looking directly into the laser.
WARNING: LASER LIGHT. LASER RADIATION. Avoid Direct Eye Exposure.
DO NOT stare into beam. Only turn laser beam on when the saw is on the
workpiece.
