MAINTENANCE
WARNING:
To ensure safety and
reliability, all repairs should be performed
by a qualified service technician.
When servicing, use
only identical replacement parts. The use
of any other parts may create a hazard or
cause damage to the product.
Unplug the Miter saw
from the power source before cleaning or
performing any maintenance.
Always wear safety
goggles or safety glasses with side
shields during power tool operations, or
when blowing dust. If operation is dusty,
also wear a dust mask.
Periodic maintenance allows for long life
and trouble-free operation. A cleaning,
lubrication and maintenance schedule
should be maintained. As a common
preventive maintenance practice, follow
these recommended steps:
1. When work has been completed, clean
the tool to allow smooth functioning
of the tool over time.
2. Use clean damp cloths to wipe the tool.
3. Check the state of all electrical cables.
4. Keep the motor air openings free of
oil, grease and sawdust or woodchips,
and store the tool in a dry place.
5. Be certain that all moving parts are well
lubricated with silicone or light oil spray,
particularly after lengthy exposure to
damp and/or dirty conditions.
6. Check for loose screws, misalignment
or binding of moving parts, or any other
condition that may affect the operation.
7. If abnormal vibration or noise occurs,
turn the saw off immediately, and have
the problem corrected before further
use.
SERVICE Of LASER GUIDE
Use a soft paintbrush or similar device to
remove all sawdust and debris.
(Compressed air contains fine oil droplets
that adhere to the lens. Therefore, you
should not clean the lens with compressed
air).
SAWDUST
Periodically, sawdust will accumulate under
the worktable and base. This could cause
difficulty in the movement of the worktable
when setting up a miter cut. Frequently blow
out or vacuum up the sawdust.
Always wear safety
goggles or safety glasses with side
shields during power tool operations, or
when blowing dust. If operation is dusty,
also wear a dust mask.
bLADE GUARD
DO NOT use the saw
without the blade guard. The blade guard
is attached to the saw for your protection.
Should the blade guard become damaged,
do not use the saw until the damaged
guard has been replaced. Check the blade
guard regularly; making certain that it is in
proper working order.
When cleaning the
blade guard, unplug the saw from the
power source receptacle to avoid
unexpected start-up.
NOTICE: Do not use solvents on the
guard, as they may cause any plastic
parts to become “cloudy” or brittle.
