(3) Serial-ATAII Port connector: SATA1~SATA4 Port

This connector supports the provided Serial ATA3 hard drive cable to
connecting the motherboard with SATA2 hard drive.

(4) Primary IDE Connector (40-pin block): IDE

This connector supports the provided IDE hard disk ribbon cable. After
connecting the single plug end to motherboard, connect the two plugs at
other end to your hard drive(s). If you install two hard drives, the second
drive must be configured to Slave mode by setting its jumpers accordingly.
Please refer to the documentation of your hard drive for the jumper
settings.



Two hard drives can be connected to each connector. The first hard
drive is referred to as the

Master

and the second hard drive is referred

to as the

Slave

.



For performance issues, it is strongly suggested that a CD-ROM or
DVD-ROM drive is not installed on the same IDE channel as a hard drive.
Otherwise, the system performance on this channel may drop.
