We recommend that two people install this product.
Proper installation is the responsibility of the installer.
Product failure due to improper installation is not
covered under the Warranty.
You MUST use all supplied parts and use proper
installation procedures as described in these
instructions when installing this air conditioner.
INSTALLATION REQUIREMENTS
This room air conditioner is designed for installation in
standard double-hung windows with actual opening
widths of 30 in. to 38 in. (min. of 26 in. without panels).
Lower sash must open sufficiently to allow a clear
vertical opening of 17

in. Side louvers and the rear
of the air conditioner must have clear air space to allow
enough airflow through the condenser for heat removal.
The rear of the unit must be outdoors, not inside a
building or garage.

Check the location where the unit will be installed.
Proper installation is your responsibility. Make sure you
have everything necessary for correct installation.
The location should provide:
• Grounded electrical 3 prong outlet within 4 ft. of
where the air conditioner power cord exists.
WARNING: DO NOT
use an extension cord.

DO NOT
block the louvers on the front panel.
•
DO NOT
block the louvers on the outside of the
air conditioner.
NOTE:
Cabinet louvers must not be obstructed. Air must
be able to pass freely through the cabinet louvers.
INSTALLATION
Pick a location which will allow cold air to blow into
the area you desire. Windows used for installation
must be strong enough to support the weight of the air
conditioner. Good installation with special attention to
the proper position of the unit will lessen the chance
that service will be needed.
