This device consists of a transmitter FD 01 S and a receiver FD 20 E. The units
are coded to each other in the factory, they cannot be combined with any
other units. The transmitter contains a passive infrared (PIR) motion detector
which reacts to the movement of persons within its detection range. The
transmitter also contains a connection for an optional external contact (eg.
Magnetic switch, bell push, pressure mat,....). Upon motion detection or
change in state of an external contact (selectable) a wireless signal is
transmitted to the receiver. If the receiver is set in the chime mode it responds
with a flashing light or with an optional chime sound. If the receiver is set in
alarm mode it responds with a flashing light and a siren sound. After
selection of the the alarm mode there is an exit delay of 60 seconds during
which time the detection area should be vacated. Within a selectable
entrance delay period the alarm mode can be deactivated before the siren
sounds.
The appliance is designed exclusively for indoor use in private households.
The transmitter is powered by four AA (LR6) batteries or by a 9V DC, min 100
mA mains adapter (eg. NG300, Art-No. 32 100). The receiver is to be
connected to a 230 V AC, 50 Hz mains outlet.
