Fixing the device to a wall:
1. Choose a suitable location (see chapter 10 „Location“).
2. Fix the baseplate [7] using the supplied screws to the
wall. Slide the detector onto the baseplate. The device
switches on automatically and beeps 4 times whilst the
LEDs [1-3] illuminate. Test the device by following the
test procedure (see chapter 12). To remove the baseplate
and turn off the device depress the tab [9] fully towards
the back of the baseplate and slide the detector upwards.
Make absolutely sure to install the alarm at the
height specified in the chapter entitled
'Location'!

13. Use and Alarm function
Test the device once a month using the test button [4]. This
activates the function test. The three LED light indicators [1-
3] are activated alternately during the function test and the
device beeps 4 times.
The green Power-LED [2] then flashes once every minute to
confirm correct operation.
The green power LED [2] flashes once every minute. The
device is operational.
The device emits an alarm if the sensor registers a carbon
monoxide concentration in excess of the sensitivity threshold
set in the factory: There is a repeated sequence of 4 beeps and
flashes of the red alarm LED [3]. The alarm continues until
the carbon monoxide concentration falls below the preset
sensitivity threshold.
The alarm ends if the carbon monoxide concentration falls
below the preset sensitivity threshold. If the device must be
manually silenced press the TEST button [4].
If necessary, the acoustic alarm during the alarm status can
be turned off for 5 minutes by pressing the Silence button [5].
The red alarm LED [3] continues to flash.
The acoustic alarm will sound again if carbon monoxide is
still present after the 5-minute mute phase.
The device conducts a regular self test. Any fault will be
indicated by flashing of the yellow fault LED [1] and the red
alarm LED [3]. In addition, two short beeps are issued per
minute. In this case the device must be replaced with a new
one!

14. What to do in the event of an
alarm
Remain calm in the event of an alarm. Carry out the following
measures:
Open all doors and windows to increase ventilation and
allow the carbon monoxide to escape.
Stop using all combustion devices and, if possible, make
sure they are switched off.
If the alarm continues, clear the building. Leave doors
and windows open.

!
Do not enter the building again until the alarm signal
has muted.
Get medical assistance for anyone who shows symptoms
of carbon monoxide poisoning. Draw attention to the
fact that carbon monoxide poisoning is suspected.
Call the maintenance or service company for the
equipment or your gas or fuel supplier. Explain the
problem.
Do not use the combustion equipment again until a
person with the required qualification has inspected the
equipment in accordance with applicable requirements
and has approved the equipment for use.
Test the function of the device regularly (see chapter 12
„Testing“).Clean the housing regularly using a duster or
a damp cloth. Remove any dust or grease from the vents.
Never use household cleaners with ammonia (spirits of
ammonia) or other chemicals, such as cleaning agents
or solvents.
Avoid contact with water or moisture.
Do not paint the device.
Under normal use, the device has a service life of up to 7
years. The device will indicate end of service life with three
beeps every minute. Extended periods in alarm mode can
significantly reduce the life of the battery.
Replace the device 7 years after the first installation or in case
of fault or end of life indication.
Packaging material, used batteries or electrical
products must not be disposed of as household waste.
Use your recycling system. Details are available from
your local authority.
