19. Repeat step 16
and brush the wetted heat exchanger to remove additional debris from the heat exchanger surface.
20. Again, using a garden hose with a trigger spray nozzle or similar device,
direct pressurized water in the space between the heat
exchanger tubes. Repeat steps 18 and 19 until the heat exchanger is thoroughly cleaned and the water running into the bucket remains
clear. For especially stubborn debris, a 50/50 mix of CLR and water may be used in place of just straight water. It is imperative that upon
completion, the heat exchanger be thoroughly rinsed with clean water to remove all CLR chemical remnants.
