Installation of the EZ-Up Head Rest When there is
not a Vehicle Head Rest, Continued
1. Remove the head rest
from the box.
2. Place it in front of the
support plate, with the
“tail” portion of the head
rest facing upwards
(Figure A).
3. Wrap the tail over the
top and around the back
of the support plate
(Figure B).
NOTE: It is important to
wrap the head rest tightly
for optimum perform-
ance.
4. While pressing against
the front of the head
rest, wrap the tail com-
pletely around the sup-
port plate (Figures C, D,
and E).

5. Repeat Steps 3 and 4 for the
other Support Harness strap
so that the vest is attached
as in Figure E.
NOTE: Verify that the Sup-
port Harness straps are as
tight as possible according
to Steps 15 and 16 on Page
17.

This vest is for positioning
only! The vehicle lap and
shoulder belt must always
be used! See Figure F.

for instructions on how to
install the occupant in the
positioning vest and lap/
shoulder belt.
WARNING!
Top of child’s ears must not
be above top of vehicle seat
back (or head rest, if there
is one).
