2-15 Exhaust Diverter Installation
NOTE: On certain engine models, it is necessary to
install an exhaust diverter onto the muffler to prevent the
engine exhaust from damaging the PTO assembly or the
collection bags. Figure A shows an exhaust diverter
P#(J0251) and exhaust clamp kit P#(X1046) installed on
the Kawasaki FX850.
Any engine that exhaust to the
right side or the rear, will require an exhaust
diverter
. Slide the diverter onto the muffler exhaust tube
and secure with (1) clamp kit. Position the diverter so
that the heat is not directed towards the ground.
