vi. INSTALLATION AND OPERATION
1. Loosen blade guard adjustment knob located at
the rear of the blade guard. Raise the blade
guard to the highest position and retighten the
knob.
2. Remove the blade shaft nut and outer flange.
See Figure 1
. If a blade has been mounted,
hold the blade with one hand and use the other
hand to loosen the nut with the universal
wrench. Remove existing blade.
3. Mount new blade, but make certain the arrow
on the blade coincides with the rotation
direction of the shaft.
4. Attach outer flange and blade shaft nut. Hold
the blade with one hand and use the other hand
to tighten the nut with the universal wrench.
Make certain the flanges are pressed flush
against the blade and that the nut is firmly
tightened, but do not over tighten.
5. Loosen blade guard adjustment knob, lower the
blade guard and retighten the knob.
WARNING: Only use 7" blades on this saw.
Setting a smaller blade may cause the blade
to grab the material being cut, possibly
causing injury to the operator and the saw.

v. UNPACKING
Open the container and carefully lift the saw by the foam packaging and place it on a flat, level
working area. Be sure that you have the following items before you discard the container:
• Saw
• Stainless steel water tray
• 7" saw blade
• 45º/90º rip guide
• Universal wrench
• Water pump
• Owner’s manual
