5 Getting started
5.1 Electronic connection
The following describes how to connect the gas sensor to a supply voltage using the connection
terminal.
•
Open the housing cover using a slotted screwdriver.
•
Lead the supply cable through the cable gland into the interior of the housing.
•
Connect the cable to the terminal (only 3-wire connection possible).
•
If you want to use operating
mode 4 ... 20 mA, remove the resistor (500 Ω) installed
between terminal 2 and 3.
5.2 Preparation
The following steps required for putting the gas sensor into operation may only be performed by
qualified personnel:
•
Determine a suitable mounting location.
•
Check if the sensor is correctly connected.
•
Check the supply voltage.
•
Calibrate the sensor if not previously carried out at the factory.
Note:
Deviations may occur within the first weeks after commissioning the gas sensor.
