Current Measurement (DC mA)
Warning
When the device is set to the current measurement range (DC mA), then DCV and ACV should
not be tested, as it can cause damage to the device.
•
Switch the device to DC mA range
•
Insert the test leads as shown in the figure below
•
Measure the current and read the result on the DC mA scale (13)
If measuring 10A:
•
Switch the device to DC 10A range
•
Insert the red test lead into the red 10A input jack
•
Measure the current and read the result on the DC mA scale (13)

Resistance measurement (
Ω)
Warning
When measuring resistance, make sure that the power of the circuit under test is turned off and
all capacitors are powered off before testing. Otherwise there is danger of electric shock and
damage to the device.
•
Switch the device to
Ω range
•
Adjust the pointer manually to zero (4)
•
Insert the test leads as shown in the figure below
•
Press the Resistance Zero-Point test button (5) to check if the pointer is at zero
Note
If the pointer cannot stay at zero even after adjustment, then the batteries are low and need
replacement.
•
Measure the resistance and read the result on the resistance scale (
Ω) (9)
•
Check the zero point after every reading and readjust if necessary
