2-11.2 Input Filtering

The Model 482C can also be ordered with low pass or high pass Input Filters installed.  Input filters are located at the
front end of the signal path, before any gain has been applied.  This location may be advantageous for applications
where gain is used and there is significant signal content outside the passband which could overload the signal
conditioner. Input Filters are also factory-installable only.  These Input Filters are the 477 Series of plug-in filters.  The
standard models are second-order Butterworth low pass (-12 dB/octave) filters.  Typical cutoff frequencies include:

The user may also define a specific cutoff frequency for the Input Filters that satisfies a specific need. Contact the
factory regarding individual requirements and model ordering code.

2-11.3 Ordering Filters

The Model 483C can be ordered with either or both Input and Output Filters using one of the model formats as shown
below. Contact the factory for pricing and delivery information. Please note that some 483C models already include
filtering, for example the 483C30 model includes a 10 kHz Output Filter (option 07). Models 483C40 and 483C41
include selectable output filters (0.1, 0.3, 1, 3, 10, 30 kHz [-3dB]).

xx is the specific 483C model that is being modified with filters.

yy is the Output Filter Option Number from the table above.

zz is the Input Filter Model from the table above, one supplied per channel.
