To restart:
1. Allow the engine to cool.
2. Turn the rotary switch (2) to the
OFF position.
3. Press the reset button (1).
4. Turn the device on again (see section
“Switching on and off”).
Working instructions
General working instructions
When shredding, maintain
enough distance from the
device, as long branches can
rebound when fed in. There
is a risk of injury.
Wear eye and hearing protection
Wear safety gloves.
• For safety reasons, the device will not
work if the collection box is not in the
correct position (see
11 / 11).
• When feeding branches into the de-
vice, hold them until they feed in auto-
matically.
• Be sure to check the infeed speed of
the shredder and do not overload the
device.
• To prevent clogging, alternate the
shredding of branches with thin twigs
and wilted garden waste that has been
stored for several days.
• Remove soil and stones from roots befo-
re shredding.
• Do not shred soft, damp material such
as kitchen waste. Compost it instead.
• Pick up a few dry branches at the end
and use them to help clean the device.
• Only switch off the device when all
shredded material has passed through
the cutting roll area. Otherwise, the
cutting roll can become blocked when
restarting.
Removing blockages
Changing rotational direction:

Slide the rotary switch
(2) lock (2a) in the
direction of the power
cable.
2. Turn the rotary switch to the left. The
device is now in inching mode.

leased.
3. Change the rotational direction again
to continue shredding (see section
“Operation/switching on and off”).
Changing the distance of the pres-
sure plate:
For stubborn blockages, you can also in-
crease the distance between the pressure
plate and the cutting roll.
1. Turn the adjuster screw (8) coun-
ter-clockwise ( + ).
2. Run the cutting roll backwards as de-
scribed in “Changing rotational directi
-
on”.
3. When the jammed material is free,
you must readjust the pressure plate by
turning the adjuster screw (see section
“Operating instructions/adjusting the
pressure place”).
Unscrewing the housing plate
Blockages in the device can be removed
after unscrewing the housing plate.
Switch off the device and unplug
the mains plug.
Wear gloves when handling the
cutting roll.
