wear clothing that is hanging
loose or clothing with hanging
ribbons or cords. Do not ope-
rate the machine barefoot or in
light sandals.
• Only use the device out in the
open (i.e. not against a wall
or other rigid object) and only
while standing on a solid, level
surface.
• Do not use the machine on a
paved surface or a gravel sur-
face where the ejected material
could cause injury.
• Before the initial start-up, all
screws, nuts, bolts and other fas-
tening material must be checked
for tightness. Covers and pro-
tective shields must be in place
and in good working condition.
Damaged or illegible stickers
must be replaced.
• Use replacement and accessory
parts supplied or recommended
by the manufacturer only. Using
externally produced parts results
in the immediate loss of the war-
ranty claim.
• Do not leave the device unatten-
ded and keep it dry and out of
the reach of children.
• Only connect the device to a
socket with a residual current
device (RCD).
Using the device:
• Before turning on the device,
ensure that the hopper is empty.
• Keep your head, hair and body
away from the hopper.
• Do not reach into the hopper
while the device is in operation.
After switching off, the device
continues to run for a short time.
• Always pay attention to your
balance and make sure you are
standing firmly. Do not bend
forward and never stand higher
than the device when throwing
in material. Ensure secure foo-
ting on slopes.
• Walk at a steady pace, do not
run.
• When feeding in material, en-
sure it contains no hard objects
such as metal, stones, glass or
other foreign bodies.
• Do not use the device in the rain
or in bad weather. Only work in
daylight or where there is suffi
-
cient illumination.
• If you are tired or lacking in
concentration or have consumed
alcohol or tablets, do not work
with the device. Always have a
break on time. Work using com-
mon sense.
• If the cutting mechanism comes
into contact with a foreign object
or the machine starts to emit unu-
sual noises or vibrate, immedia-
tely turn off the power source and
wait for the machine to come to a
standstill. Disconnect the machine
from the mains supply:
- when you are not using the
device or when you are trans-
porting or leaving it unatten-
ded;
- before releasing the blocked
cutting roll;
- when you inspect the device,
clean it or remove blockages;
- when you perform cleaning or
maintenance work, or swap
accessories;
