FTIR3 Oil Analyzer

4.5 Software Updates

If the computer has access to the internet (for example via WiFi), the

FTIR3

analysis software will

automatically search for the latest software updates. When applicable, the user will be notified of this by

a popup message when starting the program. Alternatively, when updates are available, a new button

will appear in the top right corner of the

Main Options

screen.

To install updates, follow on-screen instructions.

4.6 Laptop Computer

The

FTIR3 Oil Analyzer

is supplied with a laptop computer to run the

FTIR3

analysis software. This

computer has been preconfigured to communicate with the spectrometer and no further setup is

required. Because the

FTIR3 Oil Analyzer

communicates via Ethernet, it is not recommended to make

any changes to the TCP-IP or proxy settings.

Parker Kittiwake cannot be held responsible for any third-party software installed by the user, or any

other changes made to the operating system. For this reason, it is not recommended to use this

computer for anything unrelated to

FTIR3

oil analysis.
