Disassembly and Inspection
See diagram of end cover
components. The next five
disassembly steps will be directly
related to removing components
from within the end cover.
(Figure 6)
Remove roll pin from the
end cover.
If the roll pin does not fall out as
you remove the end cover, turn
the end cover with the disc valve
facing down onto a clean soft
surface. Knock several times
using plastic hammer on the rear
end cover. Set aside fallen parts
in order as shown above.

Using a small screw driver,
remove the O-ring from the
endcover. (Figure 8)
Remove disc valve and inspect
for any spline chipping or other
damage. Insert your fingers into
the middle of the end cover,
lightly spinning as you lift the
plates out of the end cover.

Separate the valve plate from the
timing plate. (Figure 10)
Set end cover, disc valve,
balance plate, and timing plate
to the side. Return to the motor
housing in the vice to continue
with disassembly.
