2.4 Terminating resistor

Terminating resistors must be fitted to the first and last devices in the system. A "device" may

be a drive or PC/PLC.

•    If the device is at the front of the network it must have terminating resistors.
•    If the device is at the end of the network it must have terminating resistors.
•    All other devices in the system should not have terminators.

As shown in Fig 2-2, terminating resistors switch is used to select whether to connect terminating
