 STAGE 4 – CONTROL TUBE

Take the following parts
Item 7 x 4 Plain Washers M6
Item 9 x 4 Sock Cap Screw M6 x 45mm
Item 21 x 2 Pinion Blocks
Item 23 x 1 Control Tube
Item 26 x 1 Stop Boss
Item 29 x 2 Pinions
Item 32 x 2 Handle Grips
Item 37 x 2 Round Chrome Plastic Inserts

Side the following parts  

onto the Control Tube on  

the left hand end in the  

following order, loosening  

the Grub Screws before  

sliding each item on.
Item 21 x 1 Stop Boss 

Item 21 x 1 Pinion Block  

Item 29 x 1 Pinion 

– check  

direction matches picture
Ensure that all Grub Screws  

are facing upwards and tighten

Slide the following parts onto the 

right side of the Control Tube in 

the following order.
Item 21 x 1 Pinion Block 

Item 29 x 1 Pinions 

– check  

direction matches picture

Ensure that all Grub Screws  

are facing upwards and tighten

You can also fit the Round 

Chrome Plastic Insert.

You should now have the completed assembly below with 

all Grub Screws pointed upwards for easy adjustment.

Loosen the Grub Screws on the 2 

Handle Grips and slide them onto 

the Control Tube. Tighten the Grub 

Screws ensuring they are facing the 

same direction as the Grub Screws 

in Task 4B.

 STAGE 5 – UPRIGHTS

Take the following parts
Item 4 x 2 Nyloc Nuts M8 Flange 
Item 6 x 2 Plain Nuts M8 
Item 10 x 2 Spring Washers M8 
Item 12 x 2 Square Chrome Plastic Inserts
Item 13 x 2 Grub Screw M8 x 50mm Cup Points
Item 15 x 2 Magnets, Flat Retaining 
Item 16 x 1 Right Rack Assembly
Item 24 x 2 Bar Clamp Washer
Item 25 x 2 MK2 Saw Guides
Item 27 x 1 End Bar Guard
Item 39 x 1 Left Rack Assembly

Add some thread locking 

compound to the M8 Grub 

Screws at the non Allen Key 

side and then screw them  

into the Rack Assemblies

 

leaving 35mm clear.

Then add the Bar Clamp Washer, the  

other MK2 Saw Guide and a Nyloc 

Nut M8 Flange and hand tighten.

You can then fit both Square 

Chrome Plastic Inserts into the 

ends of the Rack Assemblies. 

You may need to trim the edges 

of the inserts to fit them.

Insert a MK2 Saw Guide ensuring 

that it fits into the groove in the 

Right Rack Assembly

, followed by 

a Magnet, a Spring Washer and a 

Plain Nut M8 and tighten.

Take the 

Left Rack Assembly

 and 

add the End Bar Guard,  followed by 

a Magnet, a Spring Washer, a Plain 

Nut M8 and a Nyloc Nut M8 Flange 

and hand tighten.
