5. The filmstrip will be fed into the slot and scanned
automatically. The Power and Status/Card
indicator lights blink while scanning. Make sure
proper space in front and behind the filmstrip
converter for proper straight position of the
filmstrip during scanning to achieve the best
result possible.
Notes
:
Common filmstrip length is up to 6 negatives/slides. To
prevent poor image quality, reserve adequate space behind
the Photo Converter for the filmstrip to complete the scan
feeds.
While scanning a filmstrip, the Photo Converter automatically
recognizes the filmstrip type (positive, monochrome, or
negative) and determines the best suitable scan and color
enhancement settings for scanning
The Photo Converter scans filmstrips at a higher resolution;
therefore the scanning speed is slower than that of photo
scanning. This is not a malfunction.
When scanning is completed, the Power and
Status/Card indicator lights will keep blinking
momentarily, indicating that the Photo Converter is
processing the image and storing the file onto the
memory card.
Wait until the indicator lights stop blinking before
inserting and scanning the next photo.
CAUTION
: Insert only one filmstrip at a time, and insert the next
filmstrip only when the previous one is done, otherwise the Photo
Converter may malfunction.
Notes
:
Do not remove the memory card or disconnect the power
supply while the indicators are blinking.
This Photo Converter only supports output images in JPEG
(.jpg) format, and the date/ time attribute will not be added.
If the memory card is near full (lower than 1MB), the
Status/Card indicator blinks (
refer to “Indicator Lights” on page
10
). Use another card or delete some files on it if necessary.
