The cooking time is
longer than
expected.
O
If rice is cooked one after the other, the cooking time may lengthen (by up
to around 60 minutes).
O
The Warm Jar may stop the countdown of time remaining to make an adjustment.
O
Did you fill the Water Vessel with water?
The cooking time may become longer if the quantity of water in the Water Vessel is low.
See “The time that the rice will be ready increases suddenly” below.
O
Is the quantity of water in the Inner Pan too much?
If the quantity of water is increased, the cooking time may lengthen (by
up to around 15 minutes).

The time that the
rice will be ready
increases suddenly.
O
Did you fill the Water Vessel with water?
The “Delicious” and “1-2 person” programs boil water in the Water Vessel
to inject steam in order to shorten the cooking time.
The quantity of water in the Water Vessel is detected in approximately
3 minutes after pressing the “Start” button. If the quantity of water is low,
steam will not be injected and the cooking time will become longer.
(The time until the rice is ready is displayed again after detection.)
—
Steam is emitted
from a section other
than the Steam Vent.
O
Is there rice stuck to the Packing of the Outer Lid or the edge of the Inner
Pan, or is the Inner Pan deformed in some way?
O
Have you washed the Inner Lid each time and attached it correctly?

“Steam Less” is
displayed.
[When “Steam Less” is displayed after cooking]
O
Did you fill the Water Vessel with water?
The water decreases during cooking and steam is not injected
depending on the quantity of water.
O
Have you fill the Water Vessel with hot water (40°C or more)?
If the temperature of the water is too hot at the start, steam may not be injected.
O
After cooking, have you tried to cook again without replacing the water
remaining in the Water Vessel, or added water to it?
Steam may not be injected if the water temperature is too high, so
refill with water each time before cooking. You have filled the Water
Vessel with cold water, wait for 5 minutes or more before cooking.
O
Have you tried cooking immediately after cancelling the keep warm
function, or tried cooking again after cooking has finished?
Steam may not be injected if the water temperature is too high, so
refill with water each time before cooking. You have filled the Water
Vessel with cold water, wait for 5 minutes or more before cooking.
O
Have you opened the Outer Lid while cooking?
[When “Steam Less” is displayed after reheating]
O
Have you been keeping rice warm for longer than 12 hours?
After 12 hours, steam will not be injected even if there is water in the Water Vessel.
O
Did you fill the Water Vessel with water when cooking?
The water decreases during cooking and steam is not injected
depending on the quantity of water.
Refill the Water Vessel with water. (More than half of the Water Vessel.)
O
Is there water in the Water Vessel? (More than half of the Water Vessel.)
There will be insufficient water if reheating rice more than twice.

Cooking begins
immediately despite
use of timer.
O
Is the current time correct? (time displayed in 24 hour clock format)
O
Has the timer been set to a time outside the “Timer Setting Restrictions”?
16
36
I have set the timer
but cooking doesn’t
start.
O
When using the timer, the rice is soaked before cooking starts, and so
the soaking time after cooking starts is shorter.
Consequently, cooking starts slightly later than might be expected.
(
The cooking depending on cooking programs may start around
)
40 minutes before the rice is due to ready.

The rice is not ready

difficult to close.
O
Are there objects such as grains of rice stuck on the Hooks, Clear Frame,
Stoppers or the Pressure Control Holes of the Inner Lid?
O
Has the Inner Lid been attached correctly?
O
Has the Inner Lid become bent or deformed?
Do not use the Warm Jar and contact the store of purchase.
O
This Warm Jar is a pressurised Warm Jar which requires a high level of
sealing, so it may feel difficult to close.
It may feel particularly difficult to close after mixing the rice immediately
after it has been cooked.

Does “8:30” appear when you plug the Power Plug?
[Displayed]
The lithium battery has run down.
With the Power Plug plugged in, you can cook rice or
use the keep warm function, but the current time must
be set on each occasion that you use the timer.
The lithium battery is fixed inside the main body and
cannot be replaced by the user.
[Not displayed] There is a fault in the electronic circuitry.
For a replacement of lithium battery or repair, consult the shop where
you purchased the Warm Jar or a service centre.
16
Sparks were visible
at the Power Plug.
O
Sometimes small sparks can be seen when inserting or removing the
Power Plug. This is a phenomenon particular to IH (induction heating)
techniques and not indicative of a fault.
—
Q
If you mistakenly add water or rice to the main body, please unplug and contact your dealer.
