8. S-LINK SYSTEM SIDE OUTPUT IN CASE OF UPPER NETWORK FAILURE
The
S-LINK
system side output for the case when data exchange cannot
take place with the
master during the communication monitoring period can be set to either of the following two
options.
All outputs reset to OFF (factory shipment condition)
All outputs maintained
Change in the output setting is done by switching on the power supply of
SL-GU1-D
while pressing the system set button.

normal transmission.
1. In case “All outputs reset to OFF” is set:
Rotating “ ” character is displayed on the address display.
2. In case “All outputs maintained” is set:
Decimal points light up, in addition to the rotating “ ” character display.

Notes: 1)
Hold down the system set button until the
rotating “ ” character appears on the
address display.
2)
When designing system, make sure to consider occurrence of network error,
etc.
9. WIRING AND ADDRESS SETTING OF S-LINK UNITS
S-LINK
units (devices having the
mark) can be “T”-branch wired using hook-up con-
nectors.
Devices without the
mark must be connected by serial (cascade) wiring.
If devices without the
mark are “T”-branch wired, the branch cable which has been “T”
-branch is not monitored for cable disconnection.
Although addresses of inputs and outputs can be freely assigned in units of 32, irrespective of
their position from Output A of
SL-GU1-D
, it is easier to specify the cable disconnection loca-
tion if the smallest address is assigned to the
S-LINK
unit nearest to Output A of
SL-GU1-D
,
and then the addresses are assigned in the ascending order.
Notes: 1) The numerals indicate the address of each
S-LINK
unit.
2) Since the unit at address 96 to 111 is without the
mark, serial (cascade) wiring has been
done.
A maximum of two
S-LINK
units can be assigned the same address for one
SL-GU1-D
. Do not
assign the same address for three, or more, units.
