In case of main cable disconnection (system loop wired)
Due to the signal main cable loop wiring, the data of all the
addresses continues to be transmitted correctly if there is
a main cable disconnection at one location. (If the main
cable is disconnected at two locations, the data of the ad-
dresses between the disconnected locations stops being
transmitted.)
If the power supply is switched off once, and then switched
on again, the smallest disconnected unit address is dis-
played.
12. CABLE DISCONNECTION DETECTION
SL-GU1-D
monitors the
S-LINK
system side signal transmission line, and in case cable discon-
nection, or a fault in an
S-LINK
unit, occurs, the address of the faulty unit is displayed in hexa-
decimal form.
However, in case of a multi-channel
S-LINK

dress is displayed.
If a fault occurs at several
S-LINK
units, the smallest address of the faulty
S-LINK
units is displayed in the address display and the decimal points light
up simultaneously.
SL-GU1-D
can monitor the following faults:

Note: In case loop wiring is not done, the smallest disconnected unit address is displayed immediately upon
cable disconnection.
In case of branch cable disconnection (valid only for devices with
mark)
The address of the unit on the disconnected branch cable
is displayed.
The data of all addresses, except that of the unit on the
disconnected branch cable, continues to be transmitted.
However, the transmission delay time increases.
