If you have selected an empty folder, “File
Erase?” will not be displayed when you press
and hold [ERASE].

You cannot delete locked files. Unlock the files
before deleting them (

right, Locking files).

After repeatedly recording and deleting files, the
total possible recording time may be reduced.
You can remedy this by reformatting the card
(
‘
page 20).

Preparation
Select the folder containing the file(s) you want to delete.
Do not open the battery or card covers or remove
the card during the deleting process.

Press and hold [ERASE] for 2 seconds.
“FileErase?” is displayed.

Within 10 seconds
Push [SELECT, ENTER] up or down to select the
item you want to erase.
The display changes as follows.
You can delete individual files or all files at
once. You cannot restore files that you
have deleted.

Locking files prevents them from being deleted in
error.
Preparation
Select the file you want to lock.

You can now select a mode.
“FILE LOCK” flashes.
