
1. Pull off the decorative front panel to expose the lamp door (figure 26).
2. Loosen the captive screw and remove the door to access the lamp assembly.
3. Remove the 1” screw that secures the lamp assembly (not shown) and pull the
lamp out.
4. To reassemble, reverse the removal procedure. The replacement lamp should
slide in easily.
Lamp Time Reset:
After replacing the lamp, the microprocessor’s internal lamp timer must also be reset or
else at 10k hours, a “Replace lamp and reset the lamp time” OSD message will
momentarily appear when the set is turned on and the front panel lamp LED remains
on. The lamp time-reset function can be accessed from the service mode.
Entry to the Basic Service Mode:
1.
TV.
2. Hold in the VOLUME-DOWN button on the front panel and simultaneously hold
down the RECALL button on the remote control. A red “CHK” appears on the
screen’s top left corner. See figure 27. If a color screen appears, press RECALL
repeatedly until “CHK” reappears.

3. Exit - Shutting off the TV exits the service mode.
Resetting the lamp time to 0:
From within the basic service mode, hold in the VOLUME-DOWN button on the front
button on the remote control. Continue
time resets to zeros. See figure 28.
