CHECKING THE POWER C.B.A.

Disconnect all connector cables on the Power C.B.A., then take out the  Power C.B.A. from the unit.

Refer to Power C.B.A. Service Position, Figure 1.

Check the following parts on the Power C.B.A. with the Tester.

Connect a jumper wire between TP810 and TP811 on the Power C.B.A. by soldering.

Replace any defective parts.

Check the following parts with the Tester.

  D803

  Q801, R807, R808, R810

Replace any defective parts.

Check the other parts on the Power C.B.A.
and replace any defective parts.

Check the incorrect voltage line and surrounding parts. 
Replace any defective parts.

Plug in the AC Cord.

Plug in the AC Cord and turn the power ON.

Does the Lamp light up?

There is no problem with the Power C.B.A. However,
the other C.B.A. is defective. Check the Main C.B.A. 
and Base C.B.A., and repair if necessary.
(Check LAMP ON(H) signal(Pin 20 of IC6003), 
STANDBY(L)/POWER ON(H) signal(Pin 21 of IC6003), 
ATSC ON(H) signal (Pin 105 of IC6003), etc., on the 
Main C.B.A.)

Check the Waveform between TP1008 and 
TP1007 on the Power C.B.A.

Unplug the AC Cord.
Remove the jumper wire between TP810 and TP811 on the Power C.B.A., and reconnect all connector cables, then 
reinstall the Power C.B.A. into the unit. 

OK

Check the voltage at the following points. 
(Use Pin 30 of P1006 as GND.)

OK

OK

The Ballast C.B.A.  is defective. 
(Refer to "CHECKING THE BALLAST C.B.A.")

There is no problem with the Power C.B.A.
