Software Update

About Software Update

Software Update is a function that connects to the network

to check whether P-05D software update is necessary or not.

If necessary, Software Update will download part of

software through packet communication to update the

software.

Any necessary software update will be announced

in DOCOMO website.

There are three ways to update the software: "automatic

update", "immediate update" and "scheduled update".

Automatic update: New software is automatically

downloaded and updated at a preset time.

Immediate update: The software is updated immediately.

Scheduled update: The software is automatically updated at

the time you scheduled for installation of update package.

Information

• Though software may be updated without changing/deleting

data including contacts of phonebook, camera images, mails

and downloads in the mobile phone, note that data may not

be protected depending on conditions of your P-05D (failure,

breakage or water damage etc.). It is recommended to back

up important data. However, take note that you cannot back

up certain data such as downloads.
